You can now adapt your Rotary 5C Indexer(Any spindle that has the 2-3/16-10 threaded nose) to accept 16C or 3J Collets.
How it works! The servo adapter mounts on the 2-3/16-10 threaded nose of your 5C Indexer. Then you can mount either the 3J or 16C true length fixture to the servo adapter.
Before you mount the 16C or 3J SERVO WORKBLOCK to the 5C SERVO ADAPTER, install the collet and collet stop (if needed) and adjust the collet adjusting ring for desired clamping. A "dead zero" runout can be achieved by the four adjusting screws found at each quadrant on the 5C SERVO ADAPTER. This is critical on parts that need to maintain close T.I.R. The collet fixtures have a true length design. When you actuate the fixture, a sleeve moves up on the taper of the collet causing the collet to close. This guarantees true linear dimension unlike a pullback system. Please note if using Expanding Collets, linear dimensions can vary!
