The Twister(LT-1BR) is a full-featured
speed lathe, designed exclusively for quick, single-purpose operations,
such as burr removal, polishing and gaging to small parts with hand-held
tools. Rugged and easy to use, it allows work to be performed close
to a CNC lathe. The Twister's quick setup and rapid cycle time,
permits processing of parts in less time.
The Compact
size minimizes the need for valuable floor space, while the efficient 120 VAC operation reduces energy requirements. Permanent mounting
is not required (heavy-duty rubber feet resist movement in most
installations), although the Twister can be easily bolted to a bench
or service cart for use between stations, with less time and effort.
The standard
speed range is from 0 to 2600 rpm, ideal for the two most common
operations -- deburring and polishing (deburring is best done at
one-fifth the speed of polishing). A heavy duty foot switch is standard
and a number of specialized high-speed, low-speed and high-torque
options are available.
The Twister(LT-2AR) is a full featured
speed lathe with the addition of a bed for light machining
operations. This is an ideal bench top lathe for performing
second operations in shops that are short on floor space. (While the LT-2AR is
sturdy and reliable, please keep in mind that it is designed for
minor second operations only, to free up your CNC lathe. It is not
intended to replace a full size tool room lathe or perform heavy duty
machining.) |
