Our 5C oversize collets, in sizes 1-1/2” OD – 4-1/2” OD, are available either in Steel or 2024 Aluminum. We are one of the few sources that use 2024 aluminum in this type of collet; other manufacturers usually use 6061 which does not offer the spring retention needed when using an aluminum collet.
These oversize collets are an ideal alternative to the one-piece style due to their 2-piece design. This design allows you to interchange the adapter between different collets, resulting in a lesser overall cost!
